Create Requisition Tab
Why isn’t a code I just added to my patient’s record listed on the Create Requisition page?
- Verify that the code in question has been linked to a lab test. Only linked codes appear on the Create Requisition page. See Mapping: Lab Tests & Panels.
- Verify that the provider associated with the record is listed as a doctor in the practice management system.
- For IntraVet installations using the Pending Activity workflow, verify that the record has not been posted to an invoice. See VetLabs for IntraVet.
- For multi-site installations, ensure that the location listed under Update reflects the proper site. See Mapping: Setup.
Why won’t the requisition form open when I click on it?
Requisition forms are saved as PDF files, which require a program like Adobe Reader for viewing. Adobe Reader can be downloaded from Adobe here.
How long will a requisition stay on this page after I add a record to my practice information management system (PIMS)?
Requisitions that have not been submitted will disappear from the Create Requisition page after about 24 hours.
According to VetLabs, results are attached. Where can I view them in my PIMS?
For some PIMS, results are attached automatically. Click on your PIMS in the list below for details about how to attach them manually if automated attachment is not supported, or where to access attached results.

Who should I contact with questions about test results?
While VetData can help answer questions about accessing result through VetLabs and the PIMS, the lab is the best resource for most questions about results.
How long do I need to wait to map a new code I've just created in my PIMS?
Once an hour, the practice's code set is synced from the PIMS, thought not necessarily on the hour.
Why don’t I see the provider I want to map?
Make sure that the provider is identified as a doctor in the PIMS.
Do I need to add all the lab test codes into my practice management system for direct mapping?
This is not a requirement, though it may make the mapping process easier. Lab tests can be linked to existing practice management system codes.
